9/4/2023 0 Comments Skyrim time sink![]() The graphics look very low key and steampunky but the game itself looks too interesting to pass up. I'm going to look at Factorio first I think. I went through Cogmind, Tangledeep, Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, ADOM and Brogue. ![]() I've had my run of Roguelikes but I'm done with them for now. My paltry Intel 4400 may not run it very well. I'm looking at Pillars of Eternity but it looks too dialog driven and not enough "kill, level up and build a cool character" driven. But I can't find any modern-ish games like that. (which is what led me to try Tangledeep). Pixel graphics or super nintendo-like graphics is probably my favorite. I'm kind of hoping to find a solid RPG or something. I played those kind of games to death in the early 2000's. Truthfully, I'm not super into games like Majesty 2 right now. It's beautiful.) I will have browser based internet (as in things can connect thru web socket) but there are no good browser based card games except Duelyst but the asset loading is brutally slow for me to the point of being unplayable. My favorite kind of games right now are digital card games - which obviously don't translate well to single player offline. There will be times I'll be in conferences and stuff with people walking around. ![]() So, games like this that make it better are ones that can be quick-paused for alt-tab purposes. There is also a thriving modding scene, in particular on Steam Consider playing around and figuring out which mods you want to play before you go.įair warning: It is still in early access, but it's been one of the best examples of that, if one the longer ones.
